I've been so incredibly busy it's unreal! Here's a little update at what's been going on.
I turned in my resignation letter to my current school for many reasons, but the main one is that I'm ready to move on to somewhere different. Something that I thought I would never do is turn in my resignation letter without having another job...but I did it. I had so much stress relieved it was incredibly unreal. I will definitley miss my students...I've been spoiled by my FFA kids, because I really do have some incredibly talented students that make my job much easier than it should be. I'm not sure where I'm going, but I would love to go home. I'm really home sick. I just hate being 4 hrs from my closest family member. I cried like a baby yesterday when I had to leave the contest. Mom, Jayson & Annette were all there and I hate leaving them. It's always been hard, but after almost 2 years of it, it's getting really old. I'm ready to be back near home...but the question at this point is where?
Kurt applied to an alternative teacher's certification program, and also applied for a teaching job in Baytown...so maybe that's where we'll be? It's all up in the air at this point, but I'm ready for all of the questions to be answered and know where I'm going. I'm being impatient, I understand, but God knows this so why is he making me wait so long? :)
I took my Floriculture & Nursery Landscape kids to HLSR contest yesterday and they did very well...I only had partial teams for both, so they really couldn't compete as a team.
Yesterday was also the county fair...We had the grand/reserve goat (both of which I picked out!!), grand champion rabbits & grand champion goat showmanship! I'm so proud of my kiddos, they really did very very very well!
After all of this, I'm home stuck in the bed sick as a dog. I have the crud (I don't think that's the technical name for it, but you all know what it is). I've got to be better by Tuesday, heading back to HLSR for the goat show. Hopefully it won't last long, I don't have time to be sick right now!

Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteI wish you the very best in your job search. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to turning in your letter of resignation. I hope all goes well for the remainder of the school year and I also hope that you get to feeling better.
On another note...we need to get on to Heather...she needs to update her blog. :)
