Spring Break & Senior Pictures

Spring Break - something that I never want to be without. I chose the teaching profession carefully, but it was a really easy decision once you weigh the benefits of it to the benefits of let's say...retail. Kurt is always whining how I don't have to work weekends, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring break, & most of my summers. But seriously, didn't he have the equal opportunity I did to become a teacher? YES! It's not my fault he didn't think about all of that while figuring out what to get his degree in. :) So, needless to say Kurt has applied to an alternative certification program. We haven't heard anything back yet - but I'm really positive about this career move for him. I think it's going to be a great thing for our relationship & for our future (not that I want them now, but when we have kids).

So, I really have been laying low during spring break. Accomplishing a bunch of washing, drying & folding of clothes...and that's really it. Today, we're off to Crosby for the weekend to get some family time in with his folks and go to the rodeo tomorrow in Houston. We haven't been home since Christmas...it's been a few months!

Yesterday I did take senior pictures for one of my kiddos. I love taking pictures, but I just dont have a great camera to do it for a side job. So I volunteered for free - what was I thinking? I wasn't. It was a long day, but I really had fun taking them. Kayla doesn't think she's a photogenic girl, but we proved her wrong yesterday. I'm really sick about these photos right now, because apparently when you overload a disk -- IT ERASES EVERYTHING! I still have the pics on my camera, but I had already edited about 20 pictures. I WAS ONE PICTURE AWAY FROM BEING DONE!!!! Technology is great when it works the way you want it to, otherwise it sucks.

Enjoy these pictures...The railroad one & the really up close one of her are my favorites. Not bad for a little ol' sony cybershot camera, huh? Thanks to www.picnik.com, I was able to make these pictures so much better!! You can upload pictures straight to the website to edit them, no software downloading.
